He gave the WR a mighty scare with his 46.92 to win the DL Final in Zürich, and his 5 fastest races averaged an otherworldly 47.210…
AS FOR RAI BENJAMIN, he came along at just the wrong time, as his season, featuring a sub-47 best and 3 races faster than 47.5, would have made him No. 1 in just about any other year ever… Defending No. 1 Abderrahmane Samba had injury problems, racing only 3 times, although in one of them he handed Benjamin his only non-Warholm loss of the year.
