Hall Blasts Past 7000

As May gave way to June and the Tokyo World Champs summer started to roll, Anna Hall set a meet-record 7032 in the heptathlon at the venerable Götzis multis gathering. The 24-year-old Hall’s ascent into the 7000-point club lifted her to =No. 2 all-time in the 7-eventer with the =No. 7 score in history. Only Jackie Joyner-Kersee has ever scored more.
