2022 Men’s 5000 World Rankings

Jakob Ingebrigtsen bounced back from his WC 1500 defeat to claim the 5000 gold. (ANDREW McCLANAHAN/PHOTO RUN)

HE WAS ONLY No. 21 on the yearly performers list, but Jakob Ingebrigtsen nonetheless repeated as the event leader. His WC gold turned out to be a credential that couldn’t be outweighed as his challengers had little consistency…

DL FINAL WINNER Nicholas Kipkorir was only 7th at the WC and WC runner-up Jacob Krop was a dnf in Zürich. And so on… Consistent American Grant Fisher gets the No. 4 spot…

ABOUT THE COURSE used for the DL Final. It wasn’t a standard track but also wasn’t exactly a road course. We don’t normally include road times in our Rankings, but despite our treating the times here as such we have made an exception when it comes to rating the performers.
