A U.S. PODIUM SWEEP at the WC translated to a 1-2-3 in the Rankings for Fred Kerley, Marvin Bracy-Williams & Trayvon Bromell…

KERLEY LOST 2 of his first 3 races of the year but then rang up 3 wins in a row culminating in WC gold. He produced the year’s fastest time, 9.76, in a USATF semi. Injured in his 200 semi at the Worlds the powerful Texan called it a season at that point…

REIGNING NO. 1 Lamont Marcell Jacobs of Italy also had injury problems, running in only 4 meets and pulling out of his WC semi. He won the Euro Champs but wasn’t close to a Rankings spot.
