DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA, May 12-13 — To say the least, Florida State’s men were dominant at the ACC, scoring the most points since the league expanded to 15 teams, 149. And their 56-point margin of victory over Virginia Tech was also a record.
Said Seminole head Bob Braman, “It takes everyone to accomplish something like this. Coaches, support staff, trainers, massage therapists and administration, everyone is a part of this. We didn’t miss much. We had a great meet.”
Notable among the winners was NCAA hurdle favorite Trey Cunningham, who cranked out a 13.16 final after producing the =No. 10 collegiate performance ever with his 13.13 heat.
Also standing out was Virginia junior Ethan Dabbs, who claimed the yearly collegiate javelin lead with a 272-0 (82.92) heave that advanced him to No. 8 on the all-time collegiate list.
