T&FN’s 63rd National Men’s Relay Rankings — Aggies & Gators Tie

THIS YEAR’S baton ratings have a new look. Instead of the long-time 10-deep rankings in each event, only the 3 NCAA Championships relays (4×4 and Distance Medley indoors, 4×1 and 4×4 outdoors) are done at that depth. The other 5 events are held to 5 deep. This change reflects evolving reality of the U.S. outdoor scene, with fewer major head-to-head clashes. When the Relay Rankings debuted with the ’57 season, all events were done just 5 deep.
As always, the rankings include only legitimate clubs and schools; “all-star” teams or national-team foursomes are ignored. This year’s men’s rankings, starting with the overall scoring (all events on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, including the 3 NCAA ones):
