2021 Women’s 400 World Rankings

Shaunae Miller-Uibo successfully defended her Olympic title. (KIRBY LEE/IMAGE OF SPORT)

CONTINUING HER RUN of high Rankings finishes, Shaunae Miller-Uibo shows up in the Top 10 for the sixth straight time, all of them in either No. 1 (’16, ’17, ’21) or No. 2 (’15, ’18, ’19). In all-time points she’s now in the 10th position, replacing Ana Guevara…

SHE COPPED THIS YEAR’S LEADERSHIP with a very minimalist agenda, racing in only 3 meets, but she topped that with a 48.36 to win Olympic gold and move to No. 6 all-time… Had silver medalist Marileidy Paulino not lost to Quanera Hayes at the DL Final — her only defeat other than Tokyo — she would have had a good argument for No. 1 in her first Rankings appearance…

UBER-VET ALLYSON FELIX fills the No. 3 spot after her silver, marking her ninth time in the Top 10 (eleventh time in U.S. Top 10) and is the No. 1 American for the fifth time… Hayes had a bad patch between winning the OT and DLF and just barely misses rating ahead of Felix.
