2023 Men’s Triple Jump World Rankings

It was a year of firsts for Hugues Fabrice Zango, who won gold in Budapest and rated No. 1. (VICTOR SAILER/PHOTO RUN)

YOU CAN NOW ADD BURKINA FASO to the list of nations which have had a No. 1 (in any event). After previous placements of 4, 2 & 4, Hugues Fabrice Zango has ascended to the top…

IT WAS A CLOSE CALL for Zango over defending No. 1 Andy Díaz as the two split their meetings 3-3. The Italian dominated the DL Circuit, winning 3 times (including the Final), but was missing from the WC as he continues to sit out his transfer from Cuba. That left the biggest honor, WC gold, to Zango and that combined with his marks edge was just enough to triumph…

TEENAGE PHENOM JAYDON HIBBERT, who’ll still be a Junior for the ’24 season, came up injured in the WC final and retired after an opening foul.
