THE AOY IS, OBVIOUSLY, No. 1, and we’ve bombarded you with Ryan Crouser stats all year, so we’ll keep it simple here and just note that topped by a WR the world champ continued to rewrite the all-time lists…

TOM WALSH & JOE KOVACS have been battling each other at the top of the Rankings since ’14, when the American debuted at No. 3, the Kiwi at No. 5. Since then, Walsh has rated 3-2-2-1-2-3-3-2, Kovacs 1-3-3-x-4-2-2-3 (Crouser also debuted in ’14, at No. 10, and has subsequently gone x-1-1-2-1-1-1-1)…

WALSH BEAT KOVACS 6-3 this year, just enough to outweigh the latter’s edge at both the WC and DLF… With Payton Otterdahl in 5 and Tripp Piperi in 10 the U.S. claimed 4 spots for the third year in a row.
