Died: Pierre Colnard, 89
On March 30, in Sermaize-les-Baines, France. The setter of 17 national shot records, he World Ranked No. 7 in ’70. He had earlier placed 9th at the ’68 Olympics.
Died: Saida Gunba, 59
On November 24, in Tbilisi, Georgia. The javelin silver medalist from the ’80 Olympics for the Soviet Union was twice World Ranked, No. 8 in ’79 and No. 4 in ’80. □
