Died: Hennadiy Horbenko, 49
On March 28. The Ukrainian was the ’00 Olympic 400H 8th-placer, as well as the ’94 World Junior champion.
Died: Mike Pascuzzo, 63
On March 15. The New Jersey native competed for Maryland collegiately and made it to three Olympic Trials. In ’89 he Ranked No. 9 among Americans.
Died: Toru Terasawa, 90
On March 23. The Japanese marathoner set the World Record with his 2:15:16 at the Beppu Marathon in February ’63. He placed 15th in the ’64 Olympic 26-miler and was a 2-time winner at Fukuoka. A 5-time World Ranker, he was No. 2 in ’62 & ’65.
