THE FIRST CHUNK OF THE YEAR didn’t go well for former 800 star Francine Niyonsaba, bounced from the 2-lapper because of DSD regulations and then DQed in the Olympic heats for a lane violation. But after the Games she won both the Brussels and Zürich honors, along the way collecting enough scalps to take No. 2 in an event she had never run before May…
