Florida’s CR-setting foursome of (l-r) Ryan Willie, Jacory Patterson, Champion Allison & Jacob Miley may need to win for the Gators to take the team title. (FLORIDA ATHLETICS)
HERE’S THE SCENARIO: assuming the rest of our formchart has shaken out as we have projected it — and yes, we know that’s a big if — the meet will come down to the climactic 4×4 with the team title very much up in the air. North Carolina A&T and Texas will be tied for the lead at 34; Florida and Georgia will be right behind, knotted at 32. And all four of the schools are predicted to score, and the order in which they shake would obviously determine everything.
With our crystal ball seeing Florida as the 4×4 winner, Mike Holloway’s Gators are back atop our predictions, as they were in Charts 1 & 2. Georgia was atop Chart 3 .
When it comes to the event winners, only a single new No. 1 is now in place since Chart 3: Quivell Jordan Bacot (Houston) 400H.
