U.S. Women’s Indoor Athlete Of The Year — Ajee’ Wilson

IN A GOOD YEAR for American Records on the women’s side, 800 standard bearer Ajee’ Wilson broke her own mark with a 1:58.29 at the Millrose Games. The USATF champion went undefeated in her 3 races.

Honorable Mention status goes to 3 other AR setters: triple jumper Tori Franklin, miler Elle Purrier and 3000 runner Karissa Schweizer, plus undefeated vaulter Sandi Morris.

Franklin upped the triple jump record to 48-½ (14.64), Purrier claimed the mile standard at 4:16.85 (with a 1500 AR of 4:00.20 en route) and Schweizer lowered the 3000 standard to 8:25.70, while Morris produced the Nos. =6 & =9 U.S. vaults ever, topped by a 16-1¼ (4.91).
