TRACK & FIELD NEWS has been choosing a U.S. Women’s Athlete Of The Year since ’76. There was no doubt in the international panel’s mind about who was No. 1 for ’19, Dalilah Muhammad picking up all 32 of the 1st-place votes… The double WR setter became the first unanimous choice since Brianna McNeal (then Rollins) turned the trick in ’13. She’s also the first 400 hurdler to win top honors since Sandra Farmer-Patrick in ’89…

Four athletes shared the votes for No. 2, hammer ace DeAnna Price getting the most as she beat Sydney McLaughlin for the runner-up spot… Half of this year’s Top 10 are repeaters from last year: Price was No. 4, Coburn No. 10, Wilson No. 6, Morris No. 2 & Houlihan No. 1. Harrison, Morris & Coburn now have 4-year streaks in the Top 10…
