Best All-Time Adjusted 100-Meter Performances — Women

Elaine Thompson-Herah’s 10.61 to win Tokyo gold adjusts to the fastest wind-legal time ever, 10.57. (KIRBY LEE/IMAGE OF SPORT)

IN A 10-DAY SPAN THIS SUMMER, Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson-Herah produced the two fastest “basic” women’s 100s ever based on our Big Gold Book wind/altitude charts. Setting aside Flojo’s wind-reading-doubtful ratified World Record, ETH ran 10.61 in Tokyo (converts to 10.57) and 10.54 (converts to 10.60) in Eugene.

Overall, as of September 9, 11 women have now run the equivalent of 10.76 or faster on 43 occasions.
