You Can’t Make This Stuff Up, Part 2

In our previous installment of these prognostications we headlined “You Can’t Make Stuff Like This Up.” That now holds true in spades after the Regionals.

We thought that things were close then, with a tie for No. 1 and only 5 points separating the first 4.

Now the situation is such that former co-leaders Florida and Texas have dropped to Nos. 5 and 6, even though the Longhorns are only 4 points from No. 1. And USC has bounced up from No. 6 to No. 1. Wow!

It still looks like the climactic 4×4 should provide an über-climax, what with Texas, Florida, Arkansas and USC being the 4 top-rated teams there (with A&M in 7th). And Oregon is predicted to be sitting on the sidelines without an entry.
