Runners-up in the final indoor rankings, Texas A&M leads the initial “comprehensive” indoor/outdoor women’s dual meet rankings on the strength of an indoor triangular win and superior marks. Pat Henry’s Aggies face a handicap going forward, though, in that they run no more duals this year. All of the next four teams in the rankings—Nebraska, LSU, Alabama, and USC—do run outdoor duals, with the Huskers coming up this weekend.
Overall this will be a busy weekend in collegiate duals, with 14 such meets on the schedule. They include some of the NCAA’s best rivalries, both big (Cal–Stanford, Duke–North Carolina, Washington–Washington State) and small (Army–Navy, Bowling Green–Toledo, Lehigh–Lafayette).
To be ranked, a team must compete in one or more dual meets (defined as a scored meet between four or fewer teams) during the indoor season. Teams are ranked on wins and losses, marks, and strength and depth of dual meet schedule. Teams are rewarded for taking dual meet competition seriously.

Texas A&M and Texas, the two premiere track programs in the Lone Star State, have announced a revival of their dual meet series. The ’20 meet will be on April 4 in Austin and in 2021 on a date to be announced in College Station. The two longtime rivals have not met in a dual since January 2011. Texas won the T&FN dual meet championship in 1985 and ’86, while Texas A&M has been runner-up four times since the rankings were revived in ’12.
