Arkansas Adds Another Category Of National Title
(by Jesse Squire)
(February 18)
Arkansas, the winningest program in collegiate track history, filled the last niche on their trophy shelf. In winning their first indoor version of the national dual meet championship Chris Bucknam’s Razorbacks captured the only major title the Hogs had never won.
Arkansas was fueled by a perfect 3-0 record, with wins over #7 Texas and unranked Tulsa and Southeast Missouri.
The indoor rankings are just a preview to the bigger prize, the full-season indoor/outdoor rankings. Arkansas is the defending champion outside but a short dual meet schedule will make it difficult to repeat.
