Competition dates have not been confirmed. Tentative dates are Thursday July 22 through Sunday July 25. A great chance to see top US athletes compete for berths on the 2027 World Championships team. Current deposit requirement $100 per person.
- 2027 World Championships, Beijing, China, September 10-19, 2027.
The Worlds return to Beijing’s iconic national stadium (aka the Bird’s Nest) that was host to the 2008 Olympics and 2015 World Championships. Tour includes: 11 nights hotel accommodation, daily breakfast, prime tickets to 9 days of track & field competition, sightseeing in Beijing, optional day trip to the Great Wall of China, welcome party, gala luncheon or dinner with invited coaches and athletes, tour newsletter and more. 2028
- 2028 World Athletics Relays, Nassau, Bahamas, April 22-23, 2028.
The World Relays return to the Bahamas for the 5th time in 2028 and will be a key qualifier for the 2028 Summer Olympics. Tour dates: Arrive Thursday April 20. Depart Monday April 24. T&FN has run tours to the Bahamas for this event in 2015, 2017 and 2024. World Relays are always an exciting meet. The Bahamas put on a festive and entertaining show and make a great spring getaway destination. Current deposit requirement $100 per person.
- 2028 Track & Field Olympic Trials, Eugene, Oregon, June 17-22.
Track & Field Olympic Trials will return to historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. The 2028 edition will mark the sixth consecutive U.S. Track & Field Olympic Team Trials to be held in Eugene and will feature a new six-day competition format, down from eight days in previous editions. The new format was designed to give athletes a more efficient selection process, especially since the Trials will take place less than a month before the LA Games. Team selection for the decathlon, heptathlon and 10,000 meters will be held earlier in the spring to allow additional recovery time before the Games. $100 per person now accepted. - 2028 Olympics, Los Angeles, California, July14-30.
The 2028 Games will begin with track & field and end with swimming for the first time since 1968. Opening Ceremony will be on July 14. Track and field competition will be held in the LA Coliseum July 15-24. Current deposit requirement is $100 per person.
2029
- 2029 World Championships, Nairobi, Kenya.
Dates are still to be confirmed, but will likely be in mid-September. This will be the first time a World Athletics Championships will be held on the African continent. Competition will be at the Moi International Sports Centre (Kasarani Stadium), built in 1987 for the All-Africa Games. The facilities include a 48,000 seat stadium. A new track will be installed for the 2029 World Championships. Nairobi has hosted the U18 World Athletics Championships in 2017 and the U20 World Athletics Championships in 2021 and will host AFCON (African Cup of Nations soccer) 2027. Nairobi has a population of 16 million and is home to Nairobi National Park, a unique wildlife sanctuary with lions, leopards, cheetahs, black and white rhinos, giraffes and zebras, that offers wildlife safaris set against the backdrop of modern skyscrapers in a major capital city. Nairobi also gives us many interesting extension tour opportunities. $100 per person deposit now accepted.
