Chicago Marathon Course Record Race Maps

AS THE 2023 EDITION of the Chicago Marathon draws near (Sunday, October 08), the links below should enrich your enjoyment of the men’s and women’s comps on a comparative basis: ”Professor Marathon” and geographer Sean Hartnett’s highly detailed maps of the Chicago course records — Brigid Kosgei’s 2:14:04, now No. 2 all-time for women, and Dennis Kimetto’s 2:03:45 men’s mark from 2013. You’ll also find links to the two World Record maps below.

Hartnett has this to say ahead of Chicago 2023: “A Sunday morning dew point temp of 4C  (40F) has me thinking records. Both Chicago course records should be in play – and even after Berlin  or perhaps inspired by Berlin, the World Records may be challenged.”
