    TUE said Laurent's father, Alexander Simons, had "repeated his explicit wish that his son should obtain his bachelor degree at the age of 9.....

    Many of you may remember Dave Carey, who died a few years ago. Dave did the Women's AR Progression with Scott Davis (2 editions) and edited the FAST Newsletter for a few years. Dave was a nuclear physicist at Fermilab near Chicago, but his PhD was in mathematics. He and the Unabomber were grad students together, Dave told me once.

    Well, I have a question, what the hell would a 9 year old do with a bachelor degree???
    Ok. He is a smart kid. I get that. But the key word here is "kid".
