    Great!
I spoke to Vin and PVP the last couple of days, offering to stir things up in the general meetings. Glad that will not be necessary.
    Justice at last.

big question: does his time under suspension count on his clock of time as serving as Prez, or will he effectively end up with a short term?

We saw Vin and PVP yesterday in Reno at a preliminary committee meeting of the USATF Annual Meeting. The Opening Session of the Annual Meeting is Thursday evening and it closes on Sunday morning.

That's a thing? CAS can tell a national body how to run its organization? I like the outcome, but seems like an overreach. I thought CAS just adjudicated competition appeals.

edit - just read the Wiki entry and am now smarter on its jurisdiction.

So now that VL is now in Virginia, that should clear up the TT conflict-of-interest issues. Will he have no more responsibilities for WC21 (other than as USATF Prez)? Who is the LOC honcho?

I spoke with Vin's lawyer, who says CAS has yet to release its "lengthy" report. But the guy who heard Vin's grievance in October was the same gent who wrote the CAS opinion on Alberto Salazar.

I'll update story as new info comes in.

Feel free to share your thoughts: kens@timesofsandiego.com

Quick question: What changes in governance is USATF considering in Reno to prevent a "temporary administrative suspension" from happening again?

I brought this up right after the Nuttycomb XC Invitational in Madison mid-October (i.e., that Lannana had told me at the meet that the hearing was going to be the following Monday (Oct 21, 2019) at CAS and was greeted by indifference (and some skepticism). Now that it has reached its logical outcome people think that it is a big deal.

At the time Lananna indicated that even though it is at the end of the whole process he thought that USATF might try to appeal to 'somewhere'. I think that some have tried to appeal to some body in Switzerland where CAS is located.
