    However...

Note this ISN'T a ban on Russian athletes. Just the team name, flag, anthem etc as it was in 2018 Winter Olympics. Back then, Russian athletes grumbled but most took the view that anyone watching knew where they were from anyway.

    Same with the World Cup...

I thought it was indeed on RUSSIAN athletes. They can be 'neutral' or rep other countries, but they can NOT be 'Russians'. This may just be semantics.

Lasitskene missed 2016 Olympics on the previous ban, where 2 heptathletes outjumped the high jump gold medal winner. Is she provisionally accepted for 2020?

I could be wrong, but it has been my take that ANA status is only conferred one year at a time, in which case Lasitskene and all other desirous Russians would have to be cleared again.

The F1 race in Sochi will go on, so say Russian F1 organizers.

“The contract for holding the Russian round of the Formula One World Championship was signed in 2010, long before the events investigated by WADA, and runs until 2025,” promoters ROSGONKI said in a statement.

They pointed out that the race was entered on next year’s calendar and said it would be “legally and technically impossible” to re-assign it elsewhere.

Russian F1 organizers say race stays despite WADA sanctions

Formula One’s governing body, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) is International Olympic Committee-recognised and classified by WADA as a code signatory.
Why did they join WADA? Is doping a thing in car racing?

I don't believe state sponsored cheating should be normalized...

This Nation cheats to win in politics, wars, etc.

They don't even try to clean their shit up.

Should "Olympic Athletes from Russia" be able to compete as a team? We haven't had ANA relay teams in track. But there were OAR "teams" in the last Winter Games. Is that up to the discretion of each sport's governing body? Or does T&F have to accept ANA relay teams if that's the IOC decision?
