I wouldnt go that far. Rudolph was responding to the fact Garrett hit him late, then wouldnt let go, dragging him to the ground. Rudolph might deserve a game for the kick, but that's it.

re Marichal v Roseboro: As a Huge Dodger fan before and after they moved west, I was watching this game when this happened and was horrified when Koufax stuck his left arm out to protect his catcher.

I have had nothing but animosity toward Marichal for his actions. Thanks to this thread, I learned what happened later. It's a nice story. I may have mellowed. A little. A very little.
