    I've been to Worcester many times...It sounded like the r was slightly pronounced as in Hereford next door.

    Never heard Wuss-ter...also I listen to BBC radio 3 alot and Worcester is pronounced often because of their favourite son Edward Elgar...

    How do you say Colorado? I've always pronounced it colo-RAH-doh, but I gather that the natives say colo-RA-doh, the middle syllable rhyming with AT.

    I grew up 20 miles from there and I would say Wuss-ter is closer than Woos-ter

    Trickstat is talking about the English Worcester...my brother in law grew up in Worcester Massachusetts and does say Wusster..
