Happy birthday today (Saturday) to two Olympic champions who were born a total of 182 years ago and competed in a total of three Olympic Games.

These champions were born about 4,397 miles (7,077 km) from each other and did not compete in the Olympic hurdles.

One won Olympic gold with an injured back while the other was an avid cross country skier.

The older person was ten years old when the younger athlete was born.

Neither individual won Olympic gold in Asia, North America, or Africa.

You may know that one of these two is still alive while the other died about five years ago.

Calvin Coolidge was president when the older athlete was born while the younger person was born 86 years ago.

This is not rocket science, so go ahead and name both birthday athletes for this second Saturday of November.

Egil Danielsen it is and yes, I have not heard that he died last July. Sorry to hear about his death. The other athlete did die in 2014 and did not win the Olympic gold medal in Africa or Australia.
