For a couple of decades, the Harry Jerome Meet, at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, and the Victoria International Meet were held within a few days of each other, usually in June. There was usually at least one other Meet held in B.C. in close proximity, in Abbotsford, Richmond, or Port Alberni. There were many great races and very good performances recorded at these Meets ! The Harry Jerome Meet is still held annually, the Victoria International Meet "passed away", sadly, a couple of years ago.

Pepsi at Westwood on 13-May-84 was a mile race. AW has the following results (with 1500 times)...

    1. Scott - 3:52.99 (3:38.6)
    2. Cruz - 3:53.00 (3:38.4)
    3. Spivey - 3:53.88 (3:39.2)
    4. Smith - 3:54.65 (3:38.8)
    5. Donoghue - 3:55.26

Of course it's not certain that the 1500 times are complete
