Bob Ryan (Boston Globe sportswriter) once said that the two luckiest people in history were Christian Laettner and Ringo Starr.
Disclaimer here: I was Duke team doctor during Christian's 4 years there. He was an incredible college player and was always very nice to me, even when we met years later. Last saw him at the London Olympics and he came over and gave me a big bear hug when I went by USA team basketball practice one day.

11-27-2019 01:29 PMWell, Duke had a pretty impressive win streak at home vs. non-conference opponents.

11-28-2019 12:35 AMNot even Thanksgiving yet, and a number 1 ranked team has lost for the third time. It sucks that one of those was my team (a sentiment that my Dukie friends will also share), but I like the excitement of greater parity on the court. At least for this time of year.

11-28-2019 03:09 PMguy who hit winning shot against Duke has his GoFundMe drive (Bahamas storm relief) flooded with donations
https://dailycaller.com/2019/11/28/g...phen-f-austin/
<<...This right here is why college sports are so damn cool. Duke is so hated that people are pouring money into a fundraiser for the man who hit the winning shot.
Bain and SFA have no connection of any kind to most of the people donating. It doesn’t matter. People hate Coach K’s guys, and they’re rewarding Bain for giving them a loss...>>
