Her tweets and quotes from the video are pretty mature. She's been through the wringer and hopefully will emerge healthy and have a good life, whether or not she gets back in to running competitively.

I wrote years ago on one of the old Cain threads that I wouldn't have Salazar train my dog....let alone my daughter...I knew enough stories already that it would not end well.

The above link (from 2013) was part of an aaronk rant about oversize tracks, during Cain's rise. To be fair, aaronk later complained that Salazar had ruined Cain, and in fact he even agreed with your comment on dog training.

Salazar lays out his version of events....I don't think anyone will buy this....considering all the Twitter comments...

In the written response sent late Thursday evening, Salazar says:

“Mary’s father is a medical doctor, and both of her parents were deeply involved in her training, competition and health throughout the period she was coached by me. For example, Mary’s father consulted on medications and supplements Mary used during her time at the NOP. Neither of her parents nor Mary raised any of the issues that she now suggests occurred while I was coaching her. To be clear, I never encouraged her, or worse yet, shamed her, to maintain an unhealthy weight.”

Salazar writes: “Mary at times struggled to find and maintain her ideal performance and training weight."

Perhaps some of the more knowledgeable people here can help clear up one point. In the articles I’ve read, it says that Salazar had Ms. Cain take birth control and diuretics. Wouldn’t the diuretics have triggered the doping tests?
