It's real alright. Hopefully I don't see the day when I've nothing better to do than seriously entertain the notion of running a marathon in a wetsuit. Might as well have a smoke every 5 clicks while you're at it.

People have run marathons dressed as hotdogs, Barney the Dinosaur, waiters carrying a drink tray, and more. Wetsuit is the next logical extension.

Huge number of Cain photos, most from the early years of her career. Hope she can get back on track and that there will be many more to come...

There was a good op-ed piece by Lauren Fleshman in the NY Times the other day--it appeared on the front page here at the time:

Today's NY Times printed several letters to the editor on this subject, including one by noted track writer Marc Bloom:

I get that there are likely good financial reasons for her not to do so, but it's still a shame Mary didn't join up with a club team like Central Park for Club Cross. That team experience in cross country is really special, and it seems she has largely missed out on that part of the sport.

    Maybe someday!

Good for her! Very good result and pace...3:31/km. She's not about to vanish from the sport.

She was with a pack 5 secs behind the leader through 3.5k and then dropped back so she competed. Good result.
