I don't think it is possible..The Chicago Tribune doesn't cover track at all now since Phil Hersh left....the Times has a full time writer covering the English Premier League....but no one on track...so I don't think it matters for the U.S. media what they call it.... we may have the most professional track athletes but few fans left ...I think if it was crucial to the American market Nike would have objected...but since they didn't...

Oklahoman did not even mention lead up to NCAA XC, possibly because for the first time in memory OK ST did not qualify team or individual, but did bury a paragraph about Oklahoma City University men winning fifth NAIA XC at Vancouver, WA.... I did not know OCU ran XC

This is my take on cutting events from DL.

It seems nobody has mentioned it yet; the new Chinese venue will be in Shenzhen.

How did I NOT know that is the mainland Chinese city that Hong Kong is attached to?

I've been to Hong Kong twice, and I'm sure I was aware of Shenzhen when I was there, but I confess that when I saw the name in xw's post, I did not recognize it.

i believe you, but probably because WA hasn't said a word about it, and the DL calendar for '20 is still listing it as to be determined.

Wonder if proximity to troubled Hong Kong might be a holdup?

Wiki sez it will be in Shenzhen, with the stadium to be determined.

No idea where that info came from. They're citing as sources the DL press release, which didn't mention Shenzhen at all.
