Course was soggy and slow, with majority of field running over 32:00 in men's race.

I competed for BYU in cross-country over 50 years ago so was excited that they did so well in Terra Haute.

Coach Eyestone made history as his men took the team title as the only one to win an individual title (1984) and then come back later as a coach to win the team title.

NAU had an off day...they will be back strong next year...its a good rivalry to follow.

NAU should be strong next year, as their first 3 men were freshmen. They usually have around 3 guys in the top 20, but none yesterday.

Dick Quax's son is a member of the team although he did not compete Saturday.

I thought this NCAA XC 'decade in review' article by Jonathan Gault at LetsRun was worth reading--
