IAAF recognizes separate WRs for mixed and women-only road races, the women-only record is (and will remain) Keitany's 2:17:01. Radcliffe also used male rabbits.

I don't see how that is true. Kosgei's mark is more equivalent to Kipchoge's. But then again, so was Radcliffe's.

I would have to think about it, but 48.14 is probably not my pick for POY. Given her 2:18:20 win in London, she clearly is the marathon #1 and has pretty good credentials for at least a top 5 in AOY. (she also has a world best 64:28 half on a net downhill North Run, but not that much downhill, a 65:28 half, and ran the second half at London in 66:42). Unfortunately for her the great Halfs don't 'count'; hopefully the voters will be aware that the two great marathon runs were just part of the best road distance racing year ever, and it is not close.

You gotta wonder how fast she could run 5k when she goes out a mere 15 seconds slower than her road personal best of 15:13, then averages 15:59 for the next 7.44 5ks.

That drei is interesting, there are 5 people ahead of Hassan all time and only 2 ahead of Naser.
