I believe a "runing nun" is in charge of deciphering scrawls on the wall at archeological digs.

That is probably what the editor was thinking...

When I turned on the archived NBC Gold, it had Paul Swangard and Josh Cox; then a blank screen, which probably corresponded to an ad on NBCSN. Now no commentary and not much in the way of splits, either.
    Cheers,

There are many ways of assessing the latest fastest ever "Marathons". On the women's side, aside from all other considerations, if Radcliffe had been wearing the new Nike "super-shoes", it seems the World Record would have been sub 2:13, maybe faster.
On the men's side, I see some putting the 1:59.41 on the points table, comparing to other events. I think this is out of line. Comparing to the 100 metres for instance, are we comparing to a 100 within the rules, you know ... starting blocks, wind gauges, etc. ? Or can we just compare to a running start/ wind-assisted 100, because after all they still cover the distance, right ?

You left the bigger error in: It was almost 3 minutes faster.

So, yesterday morning I did not think that Kipchoge would not have the best race of the weekend. Using 11% as a comparison basis, 2:01:39, this is better by a minute; the differential is 10.2%. It is 12% behind the 59:41.

If the men's and women's rules are supposed to be equivalent, it would seem that women should have to use female rabbits instead of male ones like Kosgei did today. Allowing her to use male rabbits sort of blurs the line the IAAF is supposed drawing with regards to athletes like Semenya.
