In terms of speed and fitness, the gap between Hassan and her competitors is so big that it would be foolish for her to run a tactical race because that would only increase her chances of getting beat, by getting boxed in, tripped, DQ'ed., etc. On the other hand, Centrowitz wouldn't have won in Rio if he had tried to run the competition into the ground, instead he would likely finished at the back of the pack.

Good thing the IAAF clamped down on the DSD women who have an unfair advantage. That would have really spoiled this race.
