I like this... fingers crossed this is actually the lineup.

    Wimbley - 50.7
    Muhammad - 49.4
    Francis - 50.1
    McLaughlin - 48.8

I will be extremely surprised if she doesn't see relay action.

I'm 99% sure Felix will be in at least the heats. She might even be on the 4x1.

We have yet to see her form, but it's important to note that Wimbley fell to the track injured in the Brussels 400m.

Yes, it can be risky for a favorite to use a runner that has a non-trivial chance of injury, especially if Wimbley runs three rounds of the 400 not long before.

Line up should be Jonathas, Francis, Mclaughlin, Okolo/Felix/Muhammad. Not in any order.

    I'm rethinking my semi lineup

I was concerned she would be the most likely to show the strain of a long season, but she sure looked good in the 400 heats. Ellis, meanwhile, looked terrible

Based on the early 400 Heats... (assuming SM & DM are still in 52 shape)

    Top 4 candidates should be

Francis, McLaughlin, Jonathan, Muhammad. (Felix & Okolo can run the heats).

If they switch out Jonathan per experience w/Felix or Okolo id understand.
But if Jonathan is running PR’s at low 50 or better I can’t see them keeping her off.

However you slice it up, I think that’s a GOLD medal squad.

Francis looks like she may be in 49 shape and will contend for a medal imo.

EDIT: Didn’t realize Wimbley was still in the picture. She’s definitely added to the potential group.
