Thiam would like to have a cushion over KJT in this event, especially after losing ground in the hurdles.

Thiam not seeming quite on it in the HJ. Hurdles wasn't decent for her but HJ is a bit off. More attempts than normal and looking a bit ragged. Equally there is the elbow issues which may mean she's trying to get more points in the none throwing events to mitigate the fact she may feel she's not going to do a big javelin.

Same height though for KJT and Thiam in the HJ so no disaster for either of them, but I'm sure thiam would have wanted more.

Both fail at 1.98. KJT in the lead after 2 events.

Did something happen with Ruckstuhl in the high jump? 1.71 seems a little bit low for her.

KJT really needs to take SP training more seriously.

Especially in this generation, where her weak throws are compounded by the fact her main rival has great throws (despite elbow issues).

That's a big PB. I think she's finally learnt to use her legs in the SP.
