This ruling cheapens the true bronze medalist's achievement.

in a fair world where fouling athletes are DQed, McLeod misses more than a few finals where he otherwise would have "medaled".

Id like to see an asterisk beside every one of McLeod's medals where he wandered into another lane in a semifinal or final.

user4 is going to go on a hunger strike until the IAAF acts to tighten the 110H rules.

Really? I would think the software's already written, the lasers are already in place, and the fixed cost would dominate. Or is there more to the show that isn't obvious from television?

It also sets a precedent for when similar obstructions inevitably happen again in both this event and others (how many times have we seen runner's taken out by someone else's stumble in distance races?).

what a call by CookyMonsta for McLeod's screw up though!
Sorry but I don't see it. It looked like he had a shot at second or third but easy - not in my eyes. And the call by CookieMonsta is the single greatest prediction I've ever seen!

From the looks of it, it would have been a 2-man race and only 2 men on the track (Ortega and Martinot-Lagarde), because Xie was not even close to the podium with his 13.29.
At Penn Relays one year with a messed-up collegiate championship 4x100, they did a rerun without the original winner and declared co-champions.
