When I was in HS we had a shot-putters relay every dual meet. You should have seen how many times a coach would enter some sprinter in the shot put just to have him eligible to run in this relay. It was kind of fun, though.

If you were the US coaching staff, would you let Norman run? His injury left us with more questions and I'm not sure I would trust his ability to run at top speed right now. I think he needs to go home, rest, and get ready for Tokyo.

I would not put Norman in the heats or finals, after what happened yesterday.

Where will they put Rai Benjamin?

Agree. The US do not need to risk having their equivalent of Australia’s “lay down Sally” Robbins

I can't imagine he has any aspirations to.

I expect Norwood to see action in at least one of the rounds.

Kerley, Norwood, Richard, Strother, London, Cherry, Igbokwe, plus others. There are many options.

He's obviously run some great relays before, and is super talented. But that meet was almost 4 months ago and I don't think he's run any 400s since. I would imagine his training the past couple of months probably did not have the 4x400 in mind, like it would have during the NCAA season. But who knows? All hands on deck if necessary!
