    Seiko baton transponder splits:

    Richard 45.5
    Norwood 45.2
    London 44.5
    Strother 44.7

London's 44.5 even more impressive considering the stumble at the beginning of the leg.

Rae of Italy had fastest split of the day with his anchor 44.3 for the last auto spot in the USA heat. His teammates were appreciative.

note that the Seiko splits for the first 2 legs are taken at the finish line, then adjusted by the Sparks Formula, and the larger the lane number the larger the error that creeps in. Why T&FN always attempts to shoot video of the start to catch proper split points.

Interesting. Must also be tough if the video source was ever placed off-line either behind or ahead of the split point...if I understand the process.

Huh, UK are in the finals? Did someone get disqualified? I remember they weren't out yesterday.

44.4 for London. 44.2 for Benjamin. He looked like he was limping.
