...it's out of Colorado Springs, where DrJay and Mrs. DrJay v.2.0 will be tying the knot. Poor planning, huh, as the pesky wedding and associated festivities will certainly interfere with watching track and field. :-)

09-24-2019 10:00 PMCongrats!
That is a rather troubling scheduling snafu. I distinctly remember making sure that my wedding was not booked until weeks after the 1984 OG.
Well, the good news is that most years the season will be over by the time your anniversary rolls around.

09-24-2019 10:37 PMThat's OK. Mrs Bambam and I tied the knot on the Saturday before the 1977 US Open, which I did play in - our honeymoon was in Tulsa, Oklahoma - quite the romantic.
Congrats, Dr Jay

09-25-2019 12:31 AMYes, congrats, but I'm fretfully sorry to inform you that you will need to turn in your T&F-fan card at the reception.

09-25-2019 10:45 PMCongratulations, Dr Jay! Is the future Mrs aware of your addiction to ... I mean passion for T&F?
One of my closest friends was married in St Louis the first weekend of May many years ago. They were originally scheduled to be married just before post time for the Kentucky Derby. Needless to say, the wedding was pushed back until after the Derby finished, and ample tv viewing space was made available at the church. It's all about priorities!
