that's always the danger with padding the house; about the only way you can do it without pissing off the paying customers is to fill it with schoolkids.

I heard that the starting block cameras can move, and they make a sound when they do so. Is it true?

According to Terry Gannon and Tim Daggett, every single session of FIG World Championships has sold out. I guess they chose the right venue for the event.

I would probably get a triple "huh" if I mentioned Paul Swangard, Ato Boldon and IAAF on a gymnastics message board. (And Gannon is far better known than Swangard among people who follow neither T&F nor gymnastics.)

I doubt the Halle holds more that 10k..sure doesn't look very spacious on TV. And, BTW, if it is sold out why do I see empty seats?

Right, women's gymnastics will pull a far greater TV rating in Tokyo than Athletics: FAR GREATER!
