    My mistake. Price won the final but, differently from the DL finals, the one who won the final didn't win the whole competition.

    It was not the final. WC also count towards the Challenge (as well as the Combined Events Challenge).

    The rule requiring entered 100 or 400 runners being included on the entered relay pool was enacted to short circuit a situation that arose during the World Champs of either 1993, or more likely, '95 or '97.

    A small country tried to enter additional staffers as a relay team to get extra credentials. When the ploy was discovered, the existing loophole was shut down to prevent future similar actions.
