Watched Episode 3 (1945-53) tonight. I was 14 to 21 years old during that period.. relived every bit of it.. that was pre-TV... learned a lot I never knew about the voices on the radio..

    I'd kill to have Coyote's voice/delivery

I'm happy just to listen to his narration, without learning about any of his foibles or flaws.

I'm shocked we've made it through 2 episodes (i watch a day behind) without a single word from Johnny Cash.

I was appalled to learn Hank Williams died at age 29. I had no idea. Just a reflection of my favored music, since I knew how young Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Bonham, Moon etc etc etc were when they passed.

Little disappointed the Everly bros didn't write their stuff but not everybody can do that (see the Righteous bros) but publishing rights very important (where the $$$ made). The segment on the duo who did it for them was interesting and nice to see they made it big after poverty years. Rock song "Love hurts" not a 70's hit but a country cover.

Hank Williams looked closer to 59 than 29. Rough existence and prob' genetics too.

Maybe it was the 19 year old bride that finished him off..
