has he ever done anything not over-the-top watchable?

country music might not be in everybody's wheelhouse, but I can't wait.

obviously a prroject fairly long time in the making, given that Merle Haggard died 3.5 years ago.

Apparently, Burns et al started the project over 8 years ago, and I think some of the Haggard footage included his last interviews. I found last night's episode (Hard Times ... 1933-1945) very moving, with the Great Depression as the background. And it included the time period during which my parents came of age, met, got married, moved to the City which has become our "forever home", and started their family (including me .

Tonight's (Tuesday) episode is entitled The Hillbilly Shakespeare (1945-1953). "Amid the cultural changes of post-war America, the hard-driving sounds of bluegrass and honky-tonk are born, and a new star, Hank Williams, emerges on the scene." Looking forward to seeing what was going on in the World during the first 8 years of my life !

I knew the "singing cowboy" was rich. Not that rich. As for the great narrator Coyote I read one of his two auto bios. Interesting guy but quite annoying. Let's just say he's a ___
-american prince while calling himself a Buddhist.
