yeah, conditions are a concern, but waiting absolutely ever between throws is also in play. Throwing every half hour just makes no sense to me.

My predictions, nationalistic as ever are:
    Walsh 22.70+ and either 1st or 2nd.
Crouser will be 1st if Walsh is 2nd
Jacko to make the final with 21.50+
With 21.47 yesterday my Jacko prediction is looking positive

This competition will be more than amazing, with a lot of big guys over 22m BUT we had better not become too overexcited because two years ago the race was a bit of a letdown with only Walsh over 22m (even if Kovacs and Crouser both had one small foul over 22). My prediction is that it will probably take close to 21m to the final, surely 21+ for top eight, with at least 3 to 4 guys over 22m in the final (Walsh, Crouser, Romani for sure plus probably Kovacs, one between Bukowiecki and Haratyk, probably even Hill). I expect a very age average BUT not a huge best mark, with the top guys all in the 22.3-22.5 range.

We didn't even have to wait for Doha for Bukowiecki to start throwing at that level With the huge PB and win over Walsh today, his stock just went up significantly. Good to see Haratyk getting back to form as well.

given his wins over Walsh and Crouser already this year (including both at Pre), it might be an upset, but certainly not a huge one

If we want a huge upset, we should be looking at Bob Bertemes. Atticus would like that

    Perfect finish:
    1. Crouser
    2. Bertemes
    3. Anyone else
