    I knew about the Zinn Award. They also have a Henry Laskau Award for the outstanding junior walker. But I was thinking of something physical. I don't know of any such thing.

    Interesting about being a shoe tester.

    Here's a story from a French facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/hautrhin.as...2503812042575/) that paints an interesting story of his death in a mining accident.

    If you copy the story and paste it into a French to English on-line translator, you can read the story.

    Apparently, at the time, he had given up shoe testing and become a miner. That change of professions led to his untimely demise.

    Yes a sad end....Shoe testing obviously didn't pay that well.
