The meat of the meat (the meet meat, as it were) is coming up at 3:30 ET and is live on my TV - yay!

Bowie just ran her semi in 11.15, so fingers crossed she betters that in the final and is a medal contender for Doha.

Ha! Asafa Powell just ran 10.15 in his semi, and could NOT have looked more bored doing it.

My wife, walking past the TV: What the heck is that?
Me: It's green-screen for all the CGI they will add in later (monsters attacking athletes, etc.).

She looked at me askance (I get that a lot).

I'll need an eye transplant when this meet is over.

We've been having some trouble with our streaming service (just changed routers and the settings are off I think) the last two days which has resulted in some over pixelating (if that's a word) at times. Watching this meet I'm rooting for the pixels.

I've been meaning to ask, why do Brit commentators always talk about the vertical jump with the phrase, 'she made it on the third time of asking'.
Isn't 'on the third try' a lot simpler?!

Guru! You seriously need to teach Bamidele the biomechanics of arm carriage in the 400.
He is ALL over the place!
