Hear hear!.. I've always felt the right answer was for D1 football scholarships to be for the full cost of a degree how ever many years it takes. But that is clearly never going to happen therefore today I announce that i'm officially on the side of paying the players a yearly salary.

WSU Cougs now 3-0 after holding on 31-24 against Houston.
Next week against UCLA. Touch wood the Cougs should face their first strong opponent Utah with a 4-0 record.

There are no games featuring ranked teams this weekend but I seem to recall a weekend just like this a couple of years ago in which chaos ensued and 7 ranked teams fell to unranked teams. Predictions?

From a practical standpoint, I wonder if that makes much of a difference. The only time it seems to make a difference is when the tv station shows the offensive and defensive players giving their names and alma maters near the beginning of each game.

We (WSU) don’t want to play BYU in case they beat us.

My n=1 experience doesn't mean a lot, but I do know that LSU's athletic department will continue to provide financial assistance to scholarship athletes after their athletic eligibility has expired.

Right now we're at 3 and Florida is down by a TD at the half.
